Genre 1- Flyer

I chose to do a flyer for students because I think that would be the most useful way to get my point across to students. I know personally the things that catch my attention the most at school are definitely flyers because of their colorfulness and intrigue with also being informational. My goal was to make students think about why they want to chose the age group they want to teach and why Bloomsburg is the place for them. My flyer would be directed to high school seniors who are interested in majoring in education. When doing this flyer I tried to use our school colors and used the CRAP principles so my flyer can look the best it can be.

This first flyer that I chose to look at I found in one of the hallways in my dorm. It caught my eye because i noticed it had bright colors and was designed nice and neat to make it easy to read. The contrast between the colors in this flyer made any usual flyer i would just pass by something that I would want to stop and read. The repetition made in this flyer was very obvious to me because of the "three Es" mentioned in the flyer. Because excellent, ethical, and engaged all begin with the letter E the term the "three Es" is now engraved in my mind. The alignment in this flyer was a little off to me but because of the bubbles each section was in it made it look more interesting than if the text was in just paragraph form. The proximity of the items to each other thought was very good. Each different thing was grouped inthe correct section and it made the flyer easy to understand.

The second flyer that I chose caught my eye because I remembered using it as an example in class. When I saw this flyer in class I remember noting how the colors are very striking against the black, creating contrast. The repetition being used in this flyer is being used by the color scheme throughout the poster. Because this poster is for pride week and the colors of pride which are the colors of the rainbow, which are used throughout the flyer. Alignment is used well throughout the poster because of how the dates are lined up in a staircase style. Proximity is used well in this flyer as well because they separate the week by each day and group everything together well so it is easy to read.

This last flyer that I looked at grabbed my attention because of the way that the font is splashed against the white. I think that the contrast between the writing and the background really catches someone's eye. Repetition is being used here by the same size and type font with each of the points that were trying to get across. The alignment is used very well because everything is lined up with everything on the flyer. The proximity on this flyer is used well because everything is grouped together nicely.

Genre 2- Letter
I chose to write a letter to parents because I think that it is a very professional way to inform them of something. I think that it was the best way to get my point across because my goal was to inform parents of how to help their children in their decision of what age group they would like to teach in the future. I wanted to stress the importance of the decision that their child is going to make.

I think that this is a very professional letter from a manufacturing company. I like how it has the information at the top, it clearly states who it is from, and the letter is very formal. Although the letter is slightly short, it gets the point across well and it has a very professional look to it. There is not much contrast in this, except for the black against the white. The repetition is very prominent because the letter states where it's came from many times. The alignment in this is very good, and the proximity is good as well

This is another professional letter that I have found. I like that it has their emblem at the top of the letter to show that is is from Denver Public Schools. The contrast again is just the black against the white, and the repetition is not really there. However, the alignment is done very well and looks very professional and the proximity of it all looks really good.

The last professional letter that I have found was this letter from Lakewood Head Start. The contrast is pretty obvious here with the emblem having the different colors against the white paper. The repetition being used is also prominent by having the hand and emblem down at the bottom of the page and the start so you know who the letter is from. As in all of these letters the alignment and proximity of the letter are very well and professionally done.

Genre 3- Resume
I chose to do a resume for a potential employer because I used my experience from my education major I have learned at Bloomsburg to try to apply for a job. Although it was difficult to try to get my CLUE project topic translated into work for a professional employer, I decided to tweak it a bit so I can have it as a resume. It shows how I used my tools as a Bloomsburg University dual major to qualify for a teaching job fast-forward four years.

I think this resume was very professionally done. I think that the contrast of the black writing against the white paper was done well, and the boldness of each title head. I think that repetition was used with the the underlining of each section and was done well and makes it clear of each topic the writer is going to address. The alignment is also done well by each sub-point of each topic such as under summary of qualifications or experience. The proximity of it all is done as well because everything is in the right place.

I think that this is another professional resume because of many things. The contrast of the colors against the white stand out and draw attention to the different topics that he is discussing. The repetition in this resume is used in a good way with the bullet points listing the experience he has under every topic. The alignment is used well by having everything set up right under each other and it is clear and easy to read. The proximity of everything is also good because everything is grouped together in the right way.

I think that this resume, although a little different than the others, it demonstrates the applicant's ability. Regarding contrast, I think the red against the black and white makes it catch a viewers eye. Repetition is used with the red color scheme. Alignment is also used well here with everything lining up nicely together and neatly. Proximity is done well also because everything is grouped together in the right place.
